Membership is by application or co-option and numbers around thirty in each section. Vacancies are advertised in the press and on the website but anyone can apply at any time.

We look to members for personal contacts both here and in France, for suggestions of future activities, assistance with fund-raising, general guidance and advice on the conduct of our affairs.

There are two British Section meetings every year in London (see right) and one plenary meeting of both the French and British members every year in Paris and London alternately. Travel expenses are paid. Members of the British Section are invited to join for a three year period initially and may then opt to stay on for a further three years. The British Section is committed to a fair and consistent treatment of applicants and aims to maintain a healthy balance in terms of gender, age and ethnic mix.
